Current Projects with Burgard:

Liz is working with the Michigan Recession and Recovery Study to study the impact of the Great Recession on family structure in Southeast Michigan. She is also part of a team of researchers looking at gender and mortality in the Americans’ Changing Lives study.

Research interests:

Family demography, fertility, contraceptive use, health disparities

Experience/Employment:

Prior to beginning graduate school, Liz worked as a Research Assistant at the National Center for Family & Marriage Research. She was also a Project Assistant on the Toledo Adolescent Relationships Study.
