Current Projects with Burgard:
Dissertation project looking at how white and black individuals in the middle of the income distribution make sense of economic stratification in the U.S. and the American Dream in the aftermath of the Great Recession.
Research interests:
Poverty, race, stratification, social welfare policy, social movements.
Experience/Employment:
I worked for three years as a grant writer and case manager at Lincoln Action Program, a non-profit community action agency in Lincoln, NE, before coming to graduate school.
